Stirling Castle - Royal Chapel
The Royal Chapel in Stirling Castle is a large rectangular Chapel. It was built during the reign of King James the 4th in 1513, then rebuilt in 1583 for King James the 6th. The doorways and windows were completely inspired by prototypes in Renaissance Italy. This venue has a wooden floor, large brick walls covered with lime plaster, and a timber ceiling. This chapel has beautiful reflective reverberation.

York Minster is the largest Medieval Gothic church in Eastern Europe. The walls and floor are made of stone. The large stained glass windows give this church a beautiful look while its structure gives this church a long and beautiful reverberation.

The ceiling is made of metal beams with plastic plates and is covered with an absorbent cloth. If you are looking for a large hall reverb with not too much “tapping”, then this one is for you.

With its slightly arched ceiling and wooden beams, the Spa Pavilion resembles the inside of a row boat. The entire venue is made of wood and plasterboard. The Manchester Carling Apollo is a mid-sized performance hall with a lovely acoustic design. A combination of brick, wood, plaster and carpeting in the right amounts creates a clever distribution of the sound in all of its 3 levels. A seashell shaped construction which extends from stage above and towards the seats adds quality to the sound wave distribution. This preset is a warm-sounding reverb.

This venue is actually a rectangular ballroom. The wood flooring is partially carpeted, with bare plasterboard walls. A beautiful stained glass dome is located in the middle of the otherwise horizontal ceiling. Standing and speaking directly under the glass dome creates an effect similar to a megaphone.

This is a small theater made of metal, plaster and wood. The walls are covered with absorptive cloth. The seats are angled, and made of plastic. This whole arrangement gives the place a lively sound. This preset is particularly good for drum sessions.

This mid-sized concert hall has wooden surfaces and absorbent carpeting. The wood ceiling extends like a flight of stairs from the back of the hall (at its highest) to the stage. Similarly, the walls on both sides of the stage are repeatedly angled towards the rows of seats. This structure is acoustically intriguing, creating a preset with a smooth decaying reverb tail.

This mid-sized performance hall consists of plasterboard and wooden walls, some of which are covered with velvet. For concerts, the first level of the Apollo is cleared of all the chairs to produce less absorption on the floor, increasing the reverberation of the room. This preset is very smooth sounding.
